Terms of Service

Last updated: June 18, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Recurex (“Recurex”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Recurex.

1. The service

Recurex is a web application for tracking recurring and one-time expenses, calculating monthly burn, planning future purchases, organizing expenses into projects, setting budgets, receiving bill reminders, and optionally managing data through AI integrations.

Recurex is currently offered at no charge for individual and team use, though features and pricing may change in the future. We will provide reasonable notice before any change that materially affects paid features or your stored data.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract to use Recurex. You must provide accurate information and keep your Google account credentials secure.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Your data and responsibilities

You retain ownership of the expense data, attachments, and other content you submit to Recurex (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, process, display, and back up Your Content solely to operate and improve the service.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of Your Content. Recurex does not verify financial figures, tax treatment, or compliance with accounting standards.

4. Not financial or professional advice

Recurex is a record-keeping and planning tool only. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Calculations such as monthly burn, yearly projections, and budget summaries are estimates based on the data you enter.

You should consult qualified professionals before making financial decisions. We are not liable for decisions you make based on information shown in Recurex.

5. Workspaces and collaboration

Recurex supports personal and shared workspaces. Workspace owners and admins control membership and may grant other members access to view or edit shared data.

By inviting someone to a workspace, you represent that you have authority to share that workspace's data with them. Members must respect the confidentiality of shared financial information and use it only for legitimate workspace purposes.

We are not responsible for disputes between workspace members regarding access, edits, or deletion of shared data.

6. Third-party integrations

Recurex may allow you to connect third-party services - such as Google for sign-in, or AI assistants like Claude via MCP or OAuth. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies.

When you authorize an integration, you direct Recurex to exchange data with that service on your behalf. You are responsible for reviewing what access you grant and revoking tokens or connectors when no longer needed.

We do not control and are not liable for third-party services, including outages, data handling practices, or actions taken by an AI assistant using tools you have authorized.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Recurex for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable regulations
  • Attempt to access workspaces, accounts, or data that do not belong to you
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without authorization
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service, including by excessive automated requests
  • Upload malware, illegal content, or material you do not have the right to store
  • Reverse engineer or copy the service except where permitted by law
  • Resell or sublicense the service without our written permission

We may investigate violations and suspend or terminate access to protect the service and other users.

8. Intellectual property

Recurex, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding except as needed to use the service in the ordinary course.

If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without obligation to you.

9. Service availability and changes

We strive to keep Recurex available and reliable, but the service is provided on an “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features - including free tiers - with reasonable notice when practicable.

Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages, and events outside our reasonable control may cause interruptions. We are not liable for temporary unavailability.

You may export your expense data as CSV at any time from within the app.

10. Termination

You may stop using Recurex at any time by signing out and, if desired, requesting account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or if we discontinue the service. Where reasonable, we will give you an opportunity to export Your Content before deletion.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination - including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification - will continue to apply.

11. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Recurex IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that data loss will not occur.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Recurex AND ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD 100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Recurex and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

14. General provisions

Governing law. These Terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where Recurex is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence may give you additional rights that cannot be waived by contract.

Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Recurex regarding the service.

Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights and obligations in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
